FIREBLOCK ACOUSTICAL COMPOSITES

O'NEILL NOISEBLOCK® is a multilayer fireblock acoustical composite consisting of low density open cell Polyimide foam bonded to both sides of a flexible vinyl noise barrier, and faced with a reinforced fire retardant polyvinyl flouride film.

The high performance, minimum tie-down pattern of the thin facing film to the foam surface allows minimum noise reflection and maximum noise absorption.

The U.S. patents for NOISEBLOCK® are 4,488,619 and 4,940,112. Canadian patents number are 1209055 and 2,018,624. Noiseblock II® is a new flexible acoustical composite for transport aircraft which complies with latest FAA Flame requirements: ASTM E-906 HRR = 54.6 SRR = 67.2.

FEATURES:

• High resistance to flame and smoke
• Effective noise control
• Safe components: lead-free barriers and low
out-gas Polyimide foam

• Broad range of composite construction
• Edge sealed for total impermeability
• Made-to-fit custom complex contoured panels
• Blankets can be supplied in standard 4' x 8' sheets,
custom made to specified sizes, or countoured to fit
• Die cut parts and pressure sensitive adhesive backing,
kit forms available
• For aircraft, ships, submarines, medical devices,
and engine applications

CHEMICAL RESISTANCE
The fire retardant polyvinyl flouride facing is resistant to most any chemical with the exception of high concentration (30-40%) of hydrogen peroxide. One month exposure will cause embrittlement.
